Substation 02

Project

Princeton University upgraded its electrical power capacity by building a new 69kV substation in West Windsor, New Jersey. The University needed more capacity and reliable power to support 3M square feet of new buildings planned within the current capital plan. This project moved all electrical distribution underground and included N+2 feeds from the local utility company, minimizing the risk of power loss to the campus. The University hired Circadia Group to provide project management services and oversight of the 69kV substation build, upgrades to the existing 26kV substations, directional boring under Lake Carnegie, and 35 miles of electrical duct bank. Circadia delivered the project $16M under budget.
