69KV Project Image 1

Location

Princeton, NJ

Budget

$66M

Completion Date

December 2019

Circadia group was hired in 2018 for project management to oversee Princeton’s Campus Electrical Infrastructure Project. This project comprised the construction of a new 69kV substation in West Windsor, construction of a conjoined stormwater basin, and upgrades to the two existing 26kV substations on Central Campus. Connecting each of the substations, Circadia managed the installation of over 35 miles of new underground duct bank with wire, EC conduit, and OIT conduit. The project also entailed management of a 1900-foot dual bore beneath Lake Carnegie connecting the two campuses. This project now provides multiple service feeds from the local utility PSEG with capacity to serve the new Lake Campus and support future campus growth. Circadia delivered this project $16M under budget by carefully monitoring expenses and minimizing excessive spending.
